About the event
This event is 10.30 - till 3pm The morning will be held inside in the Members Room, RJA&HS, followed by outdoor hands-on learning at Domaine De Vaux, in Lawrence.
You will learn how to:
- Learn how to assess fallen timber, how to identify, measure and map timber for it's potential in timber use project.
- Learn how to evaluate its quality and detect damage and disease.
- Learn which timber can be used for what products and uses.
This training is aimed at:
- Tree Surgeons / Arborists
- Rangers
- Anyone working on the land and dealing with trees
- Volunteers working in ecology or tree planting
- Artists, crafts people and makers
Why are we offering the training:
- To enable people to make a more informed decision when dealing with fallen timber.
- To enable us to develop skills that could provide information to audit the timber we have available in Jersey, to inform how this project can progress
